We will be reassigning our month of May’s weekly Murph Prep on Monday so that we can give ourselves a solid week of “recovery” for Memorial Day Murph next Monday. Next week is the day we honor all our service personal and those that have given the ultimate sacrifice. Murph is the most well known CrossFit workout… even more so that Fran. It is the original Hero Workout. Hero workouts are workout that have been made to honor those that have died in the line of Duty, and we honor them in our way by giving them a workout. Murph was just any other “Wednesday” workout for Lieutenant Michael Murphy. He was at a level of the best of the best. We prepare for this type of workout to acclimate ourselves to the volume, intensity, and overall demand of such a workout… That’s why we do Murph Prep. This will be our last preparation day until we get after it. So, come in and let’s get to training!
Important Announcement:
We will be hosting the Doña Ana Sheriff’s Department’s 25th Police Academy this year to incorporate CrossFit Training into their PT. This was a tremendous honor beginning last year with our first academy and I am grateful to have the opportunity to have them again this year. Unfortunately though, the facility will be reserved for DASO during their time here on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. 6am will be cancelled BUT, we only have them some weeks so I will be letting you know what week’s 6am will remain and when it will be closed. Starting this week, on the 25th of May, and for the following 2 weeks (1st and 8th of June) 6am class will be cancelled. After that I won’t see them until the end of July so 6am will be a green to go for us until that time! Thank you and if you have any questions let me know! See you guys tomorrow!
