Drink More O2.. I Mean Water

Summer is coming and that means the hydration spiel is underway.  For now, remember the body needs this stuff to function properly.. and moving fast and asking all the demands we do in CrossFit and in life, we need to treat it like the well oiled machine that we were created to be.  1/2 body in ounces and that is not accounting for the liquids lost in excessive amounts of sweat (like hot summer days and “Hot CrossFit” for those of you that have been around during the summer months).  8 ounces of orange juice or tomato juice fully replenish the loss of magnesium, potassium, and calcium from 1 liter of sweat… It’s called “the poor man’s Gatorade… or some O2 will do the trick, just saying.  

So, as we get motivated to work for the summer bod, don’t forget to fuel it with what it needs most.  We can go weeks without food, but only days without water (And minutes without air… hmmmm?)  With all this motivation and turning up your training to looking good in that beach bod the knees may need some love… and love they get!  

Summer months = more H2O and electrolytes

Train, train TRAIN! = Knee maintenance
