Talk about constantly varied function movements executed at a relatively high intensity. I had to think outside the box on this one. I wouldn’t normally come up with something like this, but…..
If you look at the loads at think, “No way!” Don’t worry, we will discuss options and appropriate tailoring as usual… have I ever led you astray?? I believe fitness is what can you do today. Work capacity is elegantly shown as the intersection of the all 3-4 metabolic pathways including skills and available ability to properly apply force (the weightlifter, the gymnast, and the aerobic athlete)… in other words it is shown across broad time and modal domain. This is precisely why I have it written on the PR board… and rightly so. Do you have a glaring limitation (I don’t like the word weakness so much, but you know what I mean)? My dad had an epiphany one time at one of my competitions. He told me, “All you have to do is be strong, and fast, and be able to do all of the movements, and be able to keep going. That’s the secret!” Couldn’t have put it better myself.
