I know I already posted a picture of this, but I wasn’t finished with it. I was excited how little details make something so much more meaningful. My dad helping me get this thing put together is one… the second is adding new techniques. The hidden bolt that swivels the white board was tricky, and couldn’t believed it worked… but it did! MUAHH AH AH AH!! I also didn’t want screws visible on the sides of the uprights seeing how cool this Alder came out, so I made wood nails, or dowels, and used them to act as nails to hold the little box under the white board. I had to handmake them since I needed them the perfect size for the fittings. I pre drilled, glued the wood nails, hammered them in, and used my flush cut saw to trim the excess and just lightly sanded. Most people wait for the wood to dry to cut the dowels after assembly, but if you are careful and cut while it’s still wet, you can take advantage of the wood dust the sandpaper makes to stick to the glue and fill the voids from your drill. Pro Tip! Made in Merica!
