Strongman Can Hit World Records In CrossFit

Here’s another video, but this one is a bit different than the rest I like to recommend and share.  It just dropped about a couple weeks ago and watching till the end is alone, worth the watch.  Eddie Hall “The Beast” was a competitive strongman at an elite level.  When I say elite, he was one of the top 5 in the world for many years… he even won the World’s Strongest Man a few Year’s ago, and after that goal along with hitting his other goal of lifting the mythical 500kg deadlift that they said would never happen in our life time, he retired almost immediately after.  He knew at his size maintaining the weight needed to compete at that level wasn’t sustainable and safe.  It was extremely detrimental to his health, but he did it.  This video is Eddie Hall literally attacking the workout Isabel, which is 30 snatches for time and demolishing the previous world record.  It goes back and forth saying he is doing Grace, which is 30 Clean and Jerks for time, but he asks if he can go straight overhead without stopping at the shoulders which techniquelly defines when the movement is considered a Clean and Jerk.  He does it unbroken and is so strong that he makes it seem as if there are only 10’s on the bar.  He is actually a pretty sharp dude, like Brian Shaw is… I don’t think they get enough credit for that, and you gotta respect an individual with that amount of will and raw strength at his level.
