Again, a quick reminder that we will be closed this saturday due to our attendance at the Desert Games. If don’t have anything planned this weekend, you can come out to watch the teams and Teka represent our gym at the convention center! We’re going to Stateline after, and other than getting to watch our teams work together to kick butt, I’m always anxiously anticipating that well deserved dinner with all you guys! Also, I hope you guys are excited for the nutrition challenge we are going to start. I won’t do many details right now, but I wanted to wait for the Desert Games to pass so those participating aren’t restricting themselves in any way as that would be somewhat counterintuitive to their preparations for this weekend’s competitions. I’m thinking it’ll be about 8 weeks, and a great way to get our gym family, and extended gym fam (I’ve gotten some interest from some non-members), to have something to focus on getting back into things as many are ended summer vacation mode and on the grind and routine again…. it is tough to try and be committed on your own, so hopefully this can get everyone that’s wanted to make a few tweaks and adjustments the motivation they’ve been looking for.
***Desert Games Athletes! I’m thinking if you guys want to meet at the gym Saturday morning at around 615-630 and leave some vehicles there, we can car pool. I know some of you are already planning on going up with your team, so that can be a good meeting spot as we all don’t know where we live if we meet at someone’s house and trying to get there that early in the morning… we don’t want to be late. Also, when I go up to take the waivers tomorrow, meeting at the gym Saturday morning will give us a chance to get those bags to you all as they have your badges you’ll need to get in the convention center.
