Knowing Ourselves

Tomorrow we will have a little bit of fun with an EMOM and get to work with our conditioning piece. Have you ever had to describe CrossFit? It is difficult. It’s defined as constantly varied functional movements, executed at high intensity. That definition holds true to all meaning but to someone outside it is useless. The best method is to do what we do. You all know this, but it always intrigues me to see the beginning stages of a newbee. There’s a movements aspect, there’s a science aspect, there’s an art aspect of it, and there’s a community aspect. I believe there is also a self-exploration aspect to it as well. You begin to find out more about yourself… what you like… what you dislike, your strengths, and your weaknesses. When you dive deeper into it you also discover what you are capable of… and at times where we break down. This is significant as well, because it is an endless cycle of being aware of ourselves and where we are in our lives. Give every workout the best we have today. Don’t worry about circumstances we can not control, but control what we can… most of the time it’s ourselves and what we do and feel and how we react to the world around us.
