Is Time The Most Precious Commodity?

Does it feel like November?  It’s stranger typing that date down as I write this.  I’m going to develop some pics from this weekend’s Halloween bunch!  It was a great turn out with some truly amazeballs costumes!

Also, I had to go a little over board posting these next photos…. but I am very proud of them.  When I was in college, I worked here coaching, trying to be an athlete competing for a regional spot, working at Big 5 Sporting Goods, and at times made rustic home décor I’d sell as my side hustle, and trying to have a social life partying with my friends, I’d pack 4 different pairs of clothes for the day before leaving my house.  These past 2 months, I have never been busier making these cabinets.  From picking up the lumber, sheets of plywood and melamine, and going back for more after running out of materials, to ripping, making the facing, the paneling, sanding, making the drawers and drawer fronts, more sanding, cutting stiles and rails for the doors and my dad’s shaper (that machine is amazing), more sanding, putting the hardware in for the railing of the drawers, staining, and did I mention more sanding.  To installing the cabinets and putting on the crown molding, this has been one of the most memorable couple of months of my life.  I can’t say here everything that had to be done, nor the obstacles that were hurdled… only that it was worth it.  But, as many precious things on this earth are formed under pressure, the refinement of diamonds and coal are nothing other than a gift to be admired and utilized.  As time seems to be a commodity that can’t be bought or negotiated… only cherished and looked back upon.
